GENERATOR INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A0138RAE01

      Install the generator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt (A)
      54 N*m  { 551 kgf*cm, 40 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt (B)
      34 N*m  { 347 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf }
    2. A013629E02

      Install the wire harness clamp with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

    3. Install the generator wire with the nut to the terminal D.

      Torque:
      4.5 N*m  { 46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the generator wire with the nut to the terminal B.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

    5. Install the terminal cap.

  2. INSTALL FAN & GENERATOR V BELT


    1. A013738E01

      Install the fan and generator V belt.

    2. Loosely tighten the B bolt until there is no measurable clearance.

    3. Turn the C bolt to adjust tension of the fan and generator V belt.

    4. Inspect the fan and generator V belt.

    5. Tighten the B bolt.

      Torque:
      34 N*m  { 347 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf }

    6. Tighten the A bolt.

      Torque:
      49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }

    7. Visually check the generator wiring and listen for abnormal noise.

    8. Inspect the discharge warning light circuit.

  3. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER AIR GUIDE

    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the engine under cover air guide.

    2. Tighten the 10 bolts and 2 screws.

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER

    1. Install the 2 clips.

    2. A01360O

      Engage the 13 claws and install the front bumper cover.

    3. A013716E01

      Tighten the 3 bolts and 5 screws.

    4. Install the 3 clips.

    5. Remove the protective tape.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
