СИСТЕМА СМАЗКИ ПРОВЕРКА БЕЗ СНЯТИЯ С АВТОМОБИЛЯ


  1. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL


    1. Warm up the engine, stop the engine and wait for 5 minutes. The oil level should be between the low and full level marks of the dipstick.

      If low, check for leakage and add oil up to the full level mark.

      Note

      Do not fill the engine oil above the full level mark.

  2. CHECK ENGINE OIL QUALITY


    1. A01BFYAE01

      Check the oil for deterioration, water contamination, discoloring or thinning.

      If the quality is visibly poor, replace the oil.

      Tech Tips

      TOYOTA Genuine Motor Oil is in this vehicle when it is shipped. Use TOYOTA approved TOYOTA Genuine Motor Oil or equivalent to satisfy the following grade and viscosity.

      Oil grade
      G-DLD1 or API grade CF-4, CF (API CE or CD may also be used)

      If using SAE 10W-30 or a higher viscosity engine oil in extremely low temperatures, the engine may become difficult to start.

      For low temperatures SAE 5W-30 engine oil is recommended.

  3. CHECK ENGINE OIL PRESSURE


    1. A01BFZOE01

      Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

    2. Remove the oil pressure switch.

    3. Install the oil pressure gauge.

    4. Warm up the engine.

    5. Measure the oil pressure.

      Oil pressure
      Condition Specified Condition
      Idle

      29 kPa (0.3 kgf/cm2, 4.2 psi) or more
      3,000 rpm

      245 kPa (2.5 kgf/cm2, 36 psi) or more

      If the oil pressure is not as specified, check the oil pump Click here.

    6. Remove the oil pressure gauge.

    7. A01BCJ4E02

      Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the oil pressure switch.

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent

    8. Install the oil pressure switch.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installation of the switch.

    9. Connect the oil pressure switch connector.

    10. Start the engine and check for engine oil leaks.
