DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU outputs this DTC when it determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   PERFORM ASSIST MAP WRITING

   
   

   1. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

   2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      Tip:

      At this time, check that the P/S warning light is illuminated.

      
      

      1. Select the signal check, and change to test mode.

   3. Wait for 3 seconds.

   CHECK P/S WARNING LIGHT

   
   

   1. Check the P/S warning light.

      Result
      Result Proceed to P/S warning light illuminates A P/S warning light blinks at 0.25 seconds intervals B

      Tip:

      If the P/S warning light blinks at 0.25 seconds intervals, the assist map adjustment has completed normally.

   1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      Result
      Result Proceed to C1581 is output Assist map write adjustment operation not completed 3 times or more A Code other than C1581 is output B C1581 is output Assist map write adjustment operation not completed less than 3 times C

      Tip:

      If DTC C1581 is output, turn the ignition switch off. Enter the test mode again. If the DTC is output 3 times in a row, replace the power steering ECU.
