INSPECTION PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION


    1. Check the installation condition of the motor rotation angle sensor connector.

      OK
      Motor rotation angle sensor connector is securely connected to the power steering ECU.

  2. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Reinstall motor rotation angle sensor connector.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (MOTOR ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Data List.

    6. Select the item "Motor Rotation Angle" in the Data List and read the value displayed on the intelligent tester.
