STEERING LOCK SYSTEM Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit supplies voltage from the battery to terminal B of the steering lock ECU. This circuit is used as power source for the steering lock ECU, motor, communication, and peripheral circuits.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

   CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

   
   
   1. 

      Disconnect the D10 connector from the steering lock actuator assembly.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition D10-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω D10-2 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition D10-7 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
