VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Downhill Assist Control Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

    INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester Click here.

      ABS / VSC / TRC:
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Downhill Assist Control Light Downhill assist control indicator light Indicator light ON / OFF Observe combination meter

    4. Check that the downhill assist control indicator light on the combination meter turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.

      OK
      The downhill assist control indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.

    INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Click here

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Click here

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester Click here.

    3. Check the combination meter.

      OK
      The downhill assist control indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.
