VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM VSC OFF Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

      Result

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (VSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester Click here.

      ABS / VSC / TRC:
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      VSC OFF Indicator Light VSC OFF indicator light Indicator light ON / OFF Observe combination meter

    4. Check that the VSC OFF indicator light on the combination meter turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.

      OK
      The VSC OFF indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Click here

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester Click here.

    3. Check the combination meter.

      OK
      The VSC OFF indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.
