SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The ECM sends the engine speed signal to the air conditioning amplifier via CAN communication.

The air conditioning amplifier reads the difference between compressor speed and engine speed. When the difference becomes too large, the air conditioning amplifier determines that the compressor is locked, and turns the magnetic clutch off.

    CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      OK
      CAN DTC is not output.

  2. Click here

    INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER


    1. A017BACE42

      Remove the air conditioning amplifier with the connectors still connected.

    2. A017BPPE03

      Measure the waveform of the connector.

      Disconnect the connector from the air conditioning compressor.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Disconnect the connector from the air conditioning amplifier.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      D33-13 (SG-2) - B44-5 (SSR-) Always Below 1 Ω
