CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM PRECAUTION


  1. WIRE HARNESS REPAIR

      After repairing the wire bus line with a solder, wrap the repaired part with vinyl tape.

      Note


      • The CANL bus line and CANH bus line must be installed together at all times.

        When installing, make sure to braid them.

      • The difference in length between the CANL bus line and CANH bus line should be within 100 mm (3.93 in.).

      • Leave approximately 80 mm (3.15 in.) loose in the braided wires around the connector.

    2. A01BDRYE04

      Do not use a bypass wire between the connectors.

      Note

      If you use a bypass wire, the characteristic of the braided wire harness will be lost.

  2. CONNECTOR HANDLING

      When checking resistance with a tester, insert the tester probes from the backside (harness side) of the connector.

    2. A01BEOAE03

      If it is impossible to check resistance from the back of the connector, use a repair wire to check it.
