SLIDE DOOR (w/o Power Slide Door) ADJUSTMENT


  1. INSPECT SLIDE DOOR


    1. Check that the clearance of areas A to H are within the standard range.

  2. ADJUST SLIDE DOOR


    1. Disconnect the cable from negative (-) battery terminal from the battery.

      CAUTION:

      Work must be started at least 90 seconds after the engine switch is turned off and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery. (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source. If work is started within 90 seconds of disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and turning the engine switch off, the SRS may deploy.)

    2. Loosen the 2 bolts from the slide door down male stop (body side).

      When adjusting the door rear side to side, and the slide door lock striker plate assembly, use a "torx" socket wrench (T40) to loosen the screws until the striker can move. Lightly tap it with a brass bar for adjustment.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
    4. A01BCF4

      Using a SST, loosen the bolts on the sliding door hinge assembly center to adjust the sliding door rear front and back, up and down.

      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }
    5. A01BCP8

      Loosen the nuts on the sliding door lower assembly upper to adjust the sliding door upper front side to side.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 9.0 ft.*lbf }
    6. A01BHFX

      Loosen the bolts on the sliding door lower assembly lower to adjust the sliding door front lower side to side (body side), back and forth and up and down (door side).

      Torque:
      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips


      • When adjusting the sliding door lower assembly lower (door side), remove the rear door trim board.

      • When adjusting the sliding door lower roller base (body side), remove the sliding door full open stop. Temporarily tighten the bolts.

    7. Temporarily tighten the 2 bolts on the sliding door down male stopper (body side), completely close the sliding door to confirm the position. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the sliding door down male stopper (body side).

    8. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.

    9. Initialize both systems.

    10. Inspect the SRS warning light.

    11. After completing fitting adjustment, make sure that the electric door lock and the slide door easy closer operate normally.
