FRONT DOOR REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WEATHER STRIP

  2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BF2R

      Install the front door check assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    2. A01BC5E

      Install the bolt.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (w/ Speaker)


    1. A01BFTBE01

      Using an air riveter or hand riveter, install 3 new strike rivets on the front No.1 speaker assembly on the front door panel.

      Tech Tips

      Install the new strike rivets in order as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • A01BHQY

        Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

      • A01BFWN

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the speaker.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the speaker.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and speaker.

      • A01BFQV

        Do not leave any space between the speaker and door. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

    2. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL SPEAKER COVER FRONT (w/o Speaker)


    1. Install the speaker cover front to the door.

    2. Using a riveter, install the speaker cover front.

      Note


      • Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

      • Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the speaker.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the speaker.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and the speaker.

  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE NO.2 COVER


    1. A01BEY8

      Install the front door service hole No.2 cover with the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Apply body grease to the sliding parts on the front door lock assembly.

      Install a new door lock wire harness.

      Note


      • When reusing the removed front door lock assembly, replace the door lock wire harness sealing on the connector with a new one.

      • Do not adhere grease or dust to the door lock wire harness sealing surface of the connector.

      • Reusing the door lock wire harness sealing and/or using the damaged door lock wire harness sealing may cause water intrusion to the connection, and result in a malfunction of the front door lock assembly.

    3. Insert the front door outside handle link to the front door lock assembly, and set it to the front door panel.

    4. Make sure that the front door outside handle link is securely connected to the front door lock assembly.

      Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), install the front door outside handle lock assembly with the 3 "torx" screws.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE


    1. Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), install the front door handle assembly outside with the "torx" screw.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER


    1. A01BCII

      Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), install the front door outside handle cover (with the door lock key cylinder installed) with the "torx" screw.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }
    2. A01BGML

      Install the plug hole.

  10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LOWER


    1. Install the front door frame sub-assembly rear lower with the bolt.

  11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN

      Install the front door glass run.

  12. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)

    Note

    The regulator arm must be below the intermediate position when installing the power window regulator motor.


    1. Apply body grease to the sliding parts on the power window regulator motor.

      Using a "torx" socket wrench, install the power window regulator motor assembly with the 3 "torx" screws.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The new front window regulator adopts a self-tapping method. The installation position of the regulator will be threaded when the self-tapping screw is inserted.

  13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)


    1. Apply body grease to the sliding parts on the front door window regulator assembly.

      Install the front door window regulator assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector.

  14. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)


    1. A01BA9N

      Apply body grease to the sliding parts on the front door window regulator assembly.

    2. Install the front door window regulator assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)


    1. A01BC0I

      Connect the front door glass sub-assembly to the bracket on the front door window regulator assembly.

      Note

      If the front door glass cannot be installed, connect the power window regulator master switch assembly, and manually adjust the glass position up and down.

    2. Install the front door glass with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

    3. Install the plug hole.

  16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)


    1. A01BFEH

      Connect the front door glass sub-assembly to the bracket on the front door window regulator assembly.

      Note

      If the front door glass cannot be installed, install the front door window regulator handle assembly, and manually adjust the glass position up and down.

    2. Install the front door glass with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

    3. Install the plug hole.

  17. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS WEATHER STRIP ASSEMBLY OUTER

  18. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER


    1. Engage the clip.

      Install the front door service hole cover with the 6 bolts.

      Note

      If the EPT sealer is torn, replace it with a new one.

    3. Engage the clamp and connect the connector.

  19. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (w/o Electric Mirror)


    1. A01BE1I

      Install the outer rear view mirror with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  20. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (w/ Electric Mirror)


    1. A01BHS3E01

      Install the outer rear view mirror with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the clamp.

    3. Connect the connector.

  21. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)


    1. A01BGT1E01

      Engage the 12 clips and install the front door trim board sub-assembly with the screw.

  22. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)


    1. A01BDJPE01

      Engage the 12 clips and install the front door trim board sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

  23. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the clips and claws and install the power window regulator master switch assembly with the 2 screws.

  24. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)


    1. Temporarily install the front door window regulator handle assembly, and completely close the front door glass.

      Install the front door window regulator handle as shown in the illustration.

  25. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH

      Engage the 3 clips and install the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

  26. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT DOOR
