REAR FOG LIGHT SWITCH ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT REAR FOG LIGHT SWITCH


    1. A01BANR

      Disconnect the connector from the rear fog light switch.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage between the wire harness side connector and body ground.

      Resistance
      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      1- Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      6- Body ground Headlight dimmer switch OFF → HEAD 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω
      7- Body ground Front fog light switch OFF → ON 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω
      8- Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Voltage
      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      3- Body ground Headlight dimmer switch OFF → TAIL Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V
      4- Body ground Always 10 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the connector to the rear fog light switch.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      8- Body ground Headlight dimmer switch OFF Below 1 V
      8- Body ground Headlight dimmer switch HEAD, rear fog light switch ON 10 to 14 V
      8- Body ground Headlight dimmer switch OFF Below 1 V
      8- Body ground Headlight dimmer switch TAIL, front fog light switch ON, rear fog light switch ON 10 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear fog light switch.
