DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling ECU receives signals indicating the height of the vehicle from the rear height control sensor.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2416 or B241A output does not occur.

    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the A39 headlight leveling ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the P2 rear height control sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A39-12 (SBR) - P2-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A39-19 (SHRL) - P2-2 (SHRR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A39-21 (SGR) - P2-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A39-12 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A39-19 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A39-21 (SGR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
