SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT

    Tech Tips

    The seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver side seat and front passenger side seat.


    1. for Driver Side:


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. When the driver side seat belt is not fastened, check that the seat belt warning light in the combination meter assembly blinks.

    2. for Front Passenger Side: (w/ Front Passenger Seat Belt Warning System)


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. When the front passenger side seat belt is not fastened with the front passenger side seat occupied, check that the seat belt warning light in the combination meter assembly blinks.

      3. When the front passenger side seat belt is fastened with the front passenger side seat occupied (driver side seat belt is fastened), check that the seat belt warning light in the combination meter assembly turns off.
