SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT DRIVER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT


    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

    2. When the tongue plate of the seat belt is not inserted into the buckle, check that the driver's seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks.

    3. When the tongue plate of the seat belt is inserted into the buckle, check that the driver's seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly goes off.

  2. INSPECT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT


    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

    2. Sit in the front passenger's seat.

    3. When the tongue plate of the seat belt is not inserted into the buckle, check that the front passenger's seat belt warning light on the clearance warning indicator assembly blinks.

    4. When the tongue plate of the seat belt is inserted into the buckle, check that the front passenger's seat belt warning light on the clearance warning indicator assembly goes off.
