FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

      CAUTION:

      After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

    3. Connect the connector.

    4. Install the front airbag sensor with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • If the front airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.

      • When installing the front airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

    5. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the front airbag sensor.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER (NARROW BODY TYPE)


    1. Install the radiator support upper with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (NARROW BODY TYPE)


    1. Connect the hood lock control cable to the hood lock.

    2. Install the hood lock with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  5. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  6. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  7. INSTALL AIR INLET DUCT NO.1 (NARROW BODY TYPE(W/ INTERCOOLER))

  8. INSTALL AIR INLET DUCT NO.2 (NARROW BODY TYPE(W/ INTERCOOLER))

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL UPPER (NARROW BODY TYPE(W/O INTERCOOLER))


    1. A01BBFP

      Install the air inlet duct No.1 with the 6 clamps.

  10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  11. INSTALL STEP PLATE COVER RH (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  12. INSTALL STEP PLATE COVER LH (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

  14. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  15. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT (NARROW BODY TYPE)

  16. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

  17. INSPECT SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

  18. REMOVE PERFORM INITIALIZATION
