REAR BLOWER SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT HEATER BLOWER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (REAR BLOWER SWITCH)

      Component without harness connected

      (Heater Blower Switch Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (B) - 1 (D) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      4 (B) - 1 (D) ON Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the heater blower switch assembly (rear blower switch).

    2. Check the heater indicator operation.


      1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 (B) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5 (E).

      2. Push the heater blower switch assembly, and check that the indicator light comes on.

        OK
        The indicator light comes on.

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the heater blower switch assembly (rear blower switch).

    3. Check the illumination operation.


      1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 (ILL+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 (ILL-), and check that the illumination light comes on.

        OK
        The illumination light comes on.

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the heater blower switch assembly (rear blower switch).
