COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 5L-E) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE MAGNETIC CLUTCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the compressor and magnetic clutch in a vise.

      Using SST, hold the magnet clutch hub.

    3. Remove the bolt, magnet clutch hub and the magnet clutch washer.

      Tech Tips

      There is no set number of magnet clutch washer since they are used for adjusting.

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch rotor.

      Note

      Take care not to damage the seal cover of the bearing when removing the snap ring.

    5. Disconnect the connector.

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch stator.
