VANE PUMP (for 5L-E) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BGC8E01

      Install the vane pump assembly with the 2 bolts and the nut.

      Torque:
      Bolt (A)
      48 N*m  { 490 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf }
      Nut (C)
      63 N*m  { 642 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Turn nut (C) while holding bolt (B).

  2. INSTALL VANE PUMP PULLEY


    1. A01BCC2E01

      Using SST, install the vane pump pulley to the vane pump assembly.

      SST
      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-01000 )
      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

  3. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket to the pressure feed tube assembly.

    2. A01BE8M

      Connect the pressure feed tube assembly to the vane pump assembly with the union bolt.

      Torque:
      50 N*m  { 510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the stopper of the pressure feed tube assembly touches the vane pump assembly.

  4. CONNECT OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE NO.1


    1. A01BHSQ

      Connect the oil reservoir to pump hose No.1 to the vane pump assembly with the clip.

  5. INSTALL FAN & GENERATOR V BELT


    1. A01BCBTE01

      Install the V belt.

    2. Using a bar, adjust the tension of the V-ribbed belt.

    3. Tighten the bolt A and nut B.

      Torque:
      Bolt (A)
      48 N*m  { 489 kgf*cm, 35 ft.*lbf }
      Nut (B)
      64 N*m  { 635 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

    4. Check the tension of the V belt. Click here

  6. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

  7. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

  8. CHECK FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKS
