PARKING BRAKE LEVER REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1

  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.2

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips (A).

    2. Disengage the 4 clips (B).

    3. Disconnect the connector.

      Push the positions indicated by the arrows in the illustration to separate the fuel lid lock control cable and bonnet (hood) control cable assembly from the panel.

      Remove the instrument panel finish lower.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY NO.1

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips

    2. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the instrument panel No.1 under cover sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the parking brake hole cover.

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO FLOOR BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY (LHD)


    1. A01BF19

      Remove the 5 bolts and the instrument panel to floor brace sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL HANDLE ASSEMBLY (LHD)


    1. Release the parking brake control handle.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. A01BF0H

      Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

    4. A01BBU5

      Lower the parking brake control handle.

    5. A01BAYY

      Remove the 2 nuts, and separate the brake control handle assembly from body.

    6. Remove the 4 bolts, and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the body. (Procedure A)

    7. Separate the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the parking brake equalizer. (Procedure B)

    8. Remove the clamps.

      Remove the 2 bolts and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the body.

    10. Pull the parking brake cable assembly No.1 into the cabin and remove the parking brake control handle.

  8. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL HANDLE ASSEMBLY (RHD)


    1. Release the parking brake control handle.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

      Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

    4. A01BCCO

      Lower the parking brake control handle.

    5. A01BAW0

      Remove the 2 nuts, and separate the parking brake control handle assembly.

    6. Remove the 4 bolts, and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the body. (Procedure A)

    7. Separate the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the parking brake equalizer. (Procedure B)

    8. Remove the clamps.

    9. A01BBDN

      Remove the 2 bolts and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.1 from the body.

    10. Pull the parking brake cable assembly No.1 into the cabin and remove it from the driver side together with the parking brake control handle.
