      Gradually depress on the brake pedal until the pressure reaches the specified valve. Do not overshoot the specified pressure. Read the value of rear pressure 2 seconds after adjusting to the specified fluid pressure.

  5. IF VEHICLE UNLADEN WEIGHT EXCEEDS SPECIFICATION, SET IT BY FOLLOWING STEPS


    1. A01BFL9E01

      Make a graph of rear axle load and brake fluid pressure as shown in example 1 or 2, using the applicable data of ABC point data table.

    2. Input the rear axle load on the applicable graph and find out the fluid pressure crossover point.

      Example: When the rear axle load is 1,200 kg (2,646 lb), the fluid pressure crossover point is 6,865 kPa (70 kgf/cm2, 996 psi).

    3. Calculate the rear brake pressure when the front brake pressure is 9,807 kPa (100 kgf/cm2, 1,422 psi) using the following formula.

      X: Fluid Pressure Crossover Point

      X + (100 - X) x 0.25

      Example:

      X: 6,865 kPa (70 kgf/cm2, 996 psi)

      70 + (100 - 70) x 0.25= 77.5

      Rear brake pressure: 7,600 kPa (77.5 kgf/cm2, 1,102 psi)

      Service limit: +- 800 kPa (8 kgf/cm2, 116 psi)

  6. IF NECESSARY, ADJUST FLUID PRESSURE

      Adjust the length of the shackle.

      Lower pressure - Lengthen "A"

      High pressure - Shorten "A"

      Initial set
      120 mm (4.72 in.)
      Adjusting
      112 to 128 mm (4.40 to 5.04 in.)
    2. A01BGHH

      If the pressure cannot be adjusted by the shackle, raise or lower the valve body.

      Lower pressure - Lower

      High pressure - Raise

    3. Torque the nuts.

      Torque
      12.5 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
    4. Adjust the length of the shackle again.

      If it cannot be adjusted, inspect the valve body.

  7. REMOVE LSPV GAUGE (SST) AND BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM
