5L-E VACUUM PUMP REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL OIL SEAL

      Using SST and a hummer, tap in the oil seal.

  2. INSTALL O-RING


    1. Apply the engine oil on a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the vacuum pump case.

  3. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP BEARING


    1. A01BFFT

      Using a press, install a new bearing to the pump shaft.

  4. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP SHAFT


    1. Install the vacuum pump shaft and stop ring to the vacuum pump case.

  5. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP BLADE A


    1. A01BCWN

      Apply the engine oil on a rotor and the 5 new vacuum pump blades.

    2. Install the rotor and the pump blades with the round end facing outward.

    3. A01BHDL

      Install the end plate with the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 17 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP END COVER


    1. A01BFV3

      Install the end cover with the 4 screws.

      Torque:
      4.6 N*m  { 47 kgf*cm, 41 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BCTJ

      Using soft jaws, place vacuum pump in a vise, install a new gasket, and check valve.

      Torque:
      74 N*m  { 750 kgf*cm, 54 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP VACUUM HOSE UNION


    1. A01BI74E01

      Using SST, hold the check valve assembly, and install vacuum hose union with union bolt and 2 new gaskets.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 140 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP PULLEY


    1. A01BHFE

      Install the vacuum pump pulley and pulley lock nut.

      Torque:
      105 N*m  { 1,075 kgf*cm, 78 ft.*lbf }
