1KD-FTV VACUUM PUMP DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP UNION

      Fix the vacuum pump in a vise between aluminum plates.

      Note

      Do not overtighten the vise.

    2. Remove the union bolt, vacuum pump union and 2 gaskets.

  2. REMOVE CHECK VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the check valve and gasket.

  3. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP END COVER

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. A01BF82

      Place the vacuum pump in a vise between aluminum plates.

    3. Using a 5 mm pin punch and hammer, tap out the 2 straight pins.

    4. Remove the vacuum pump end cover and 2 O-rings.

  4. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BLADE

      Remove the vacuum pump rotor together with the 5 vacuum pump blades.

      Note

      Be careful not to drop the vacuum pump blades.

    2. Remove the 5 vacuum pump blades from the vacuum pump rotor.

  5. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP GEAR


    1. A01BH60

      Fix the vacuum pump gear in a vise between aluminum plates.

      Note

      Do not overtighten the vise.

    2. Remove the gear lock nut.

    3. Remove the vacuum pump gear and woodruff key.

  6. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP SHAFT

      Using a plastic hammer, tap out the vacuum pump shaft.

  7. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BEARING


    1. A01BGTIE01

      Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring.

    2. A01BFR2

      Using a 17 mm socket wrench and press, press out the vacuum pump bearing.
