BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER KIT


    1. Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the 2 primary cups, pressure cup and O-ring.

    2. Install the pressure cup and O-ring to the sleeve.

      Note

      Check direction and size of the cup.

    3. Install the primary cup and the spring to the secondary piston.

      Note

      Check direction and size of the cup.

    4. Install the primary cup, secondary piston and spring together to the sleeve.

      Install the primary cup and the spacer to the primary piston.

      Note

      Check the cup direction.

    6. A01BAXS

      Install the spring, secondary piston, sleeve and primary piston together to the cylinder body.

      Note


      • Hold the sleeve when installing them.

      • Check that the sleeve is installed all the way to the end of the cylinder body.

    7. A01BDIDE01

      Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the 3 secondary cups and the 3 O-rings.

    8. Install the secondary cups and the 3 O-rings to the cap.

      Note

      Check direction and size of the cup.

    9. Temporarily install the cap to the cylinder body by hand.

    10. Place the master cylinder in the vise.

    11. A01BDGME01

      Using the SST, fully tighten the cap.

      SST
      09922-10010
      Torque:
      11.8 N*m  { 120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

      Use the SST as illustrated.
