BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER KIT


    1. Place the master cylinder in the vise.

    2. A01BE7VE01

      Using the SST, loosen the cap.

      SST
      09922-10010

      Note

      Use the SST as illustrated.

    3. A01BG13

      Remove the cap from the brake master less reservoir tank cylinder sub-assembly.

      Note

      Fix the primary piston so it is not pulled out.

    4. A01BB9O

      Using a screwdriver, remove the secondary cup from the cap.

      Note

      Do not damage the inner surface of the cap.

      Tech Tips


      • Check the cup direction.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    5. Using the screwdriver, remove the 3 O-rings from the cap.

      Note

      Do not damage the cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    6. Remove the spacer and the primary cup from the primary piston.

      Tech Tips

      Check the cup direction.

    7. A01BAXS

      Pull out the primary piston, sleeve and secondary piston together from the cylinder body.

      Note


      • Hold the sleeve when pulling them out.

      • Do not damage the inner surface of the cylinder body and the piston.

    8. Remove the spring.

    9. Remove the primary cup and the secondary piston from the sleeve.

      Tech Tips

      Check the cup direction.

    10. A01BAEE

      Using a screwdriver, remove the pressure cup from the sleeve.

      Note

      Do not damage the sleeve.

      • Check the cup direction.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    11. Using a screwdriver, remove the O-ring from the sleeve.

      Note

      Do not damage the sleeve.

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
