BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL


  1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

  2. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER

      Using SST, disconnect the 2 brake tubes from the master cylinder.

    2. Disconnect the warning switch connector.

    3. Manual Transmission:

        Slide the clip and separate the clutch reservoir tube.

    4. A01BHTT

      Remove the 2 nuts, and disconnect the bracket.

    5. Remove the brake master cylinder from brake booster.

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (W/O INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY)

      Remove the 2 clips and 2 screws.

    2. Release the 6 claws and 4 clips and remove the radiator grille.

  4. REMOVE STEP PLATE COVER LH (RHD (BODY TYPE WIDE))


    1. A01BE2QE01

      Remove the 4 clips.

    2. Release the claw and remove the step plate cover.

  5. REMOVE STEP PLATE COVER RH (RHD (BODY TYPE WIDE))

  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER (RHD (BODY TYPE WIDE))


    1. A01BF95E01

      Remove the 8 clips and 3 bolts.

    2. Release the 12 claws and remove the bumper.

    3. Disconnect the connectors. (w/ fog light)

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH (RHD (BODY TYPE WIDE))

    Remove of the bumper side support RH is the same as the bumper side support LH. Click here

  8. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL UPPER (LHD (W/O INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY))


    1. A01BBFP

      Remove the 6 clips and radiator support seal upper.

  9. REMOVE AIR INLET DUCT NO.1 (LHD (W/ INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY))

      Remove the 3 clips and the air inlet duct No.2.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 clips and the air inlet duct No.1.

  10. REMOVE AIR INLET DUCT NO.2 (LHD (W/ INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY))

  11. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (RHD (NARROW BODY TYPE))

    Remove of the headlight assembly RH is the same as the headlight assembly LH. Click here

  12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (RHD (WIDE BODY TYPE))

    Remove of the headlight assembly RH is the same as the headlight assembly LH. Click here

  13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER


    1. A01BHMVE01

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips (A).

    2. Disengage the 4 clips (B).

    3. Disconnect the connector.

      Push the positions indicated by the arrows in the illustration to separate the fuel lid lock control cable and bonnet (hood) control cable assembly from the panel.

      Remove the instrument panel finish lower.

  14. SEPARATE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


    1. Remove the clip and clevis pin and separate the push rod clevis from the brake pedal.

  15. SEPARATE BRAKE TUBE


    1. Manual transmission:


      1. A01BGEN

        Using SST, disconnect the clutch tube from the clutch master cylinder.

        Disengage the 3 tubes from the clamp.

    2. Automatic transmission:


      1. Disengage the 2 tubes from the clamp.

  16. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

      Slide the clip, disconnect the vacuum hose.

    2. For 2KD-FTV, 5L-E engine type:


      1. Disconnect the vacuum warning switch connector from the brake booster.

    3. A01BDOT

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly.

  17. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET

  18. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS


    1. A01BA5L

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  19. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BF8D

      Remove the 2 nuts and accelerator pedal rod assembly.

  20. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BHDS

      Loosening the bolt.

      CAUTION:

      Do not remove the loosened bolt

      Tech Tips

      When loosening the nut, keep the bolt from rotating.

      Remove the 5 bolts, nut and the brake pedal support assembly.
