REAR LEAF SPRING INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL REAR SPRING SHACKLE UPPER BUSHING


    1. A01BG9QE01

      Install the 2 rear spring shackle upper bushings and collar.

  2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BCVEE01

      Install the rear leaf spring assembly to the body and temporarily tighten a new bolt and a new nut.

    2. Install the rear leaf spring assembly, shackle plate, and spring shackle, and temporarily tighten 2 new bolts and a new nut.

    3. Install the leaf spring dynamic damper with the bolt. (w/ dynamic damper type)

  3. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN SPRING U-BOLT SEAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Install the spring U-bolt seat sub-assembly and temporarily tighten 2 new rear spring U-bolts, 4 new nuts and 4 washers.

      Note

      Align the leaf spring center bolt and nut with the installation hole of the rear axle housing and spring U-bolt seat sub-assembly so that they are not loose.

  4. CONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY

      Install the cushion washer No.4.

    2. Temporarily tighten the rear shock absorber assembly with the bolt.

  5. CONNECT CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET NO.3


    1. A01BFZL

      Connect the cable support bracket No.3 with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      14.5 N*m  { 148 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    100 N*m  { 1,020 kgf*cm, 74 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL SPARE TIRE

  8. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. After lowering the vehicle, bounce the vehicle up and down to stabilize the rear suspension.

  9. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BCVEE01

      Fully tighten the bolt.

      Torque:
      95 N*m  { 970 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01BDRJE01

      Fully tighten the bolts (A) and (B).

      Torque:
      95 N*m  { 970 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf }

    3. Fully tighten the bolt (C). (w/ dynamic damper type)

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf }

  10. FULLY TIGHTEN SPRING U-BOLT SEAT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BAG9

      Fully tighten the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      95 N*m  { 970 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Tighten the nuts evenly.

      • The amount of tightening for each of the 4 nuts must be the same.

  11. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BATR

      Fully tighten the bolt.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 440 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }
