    1. Inspect the leaf spring.


      1. Check the leaf spring for wear, cracks, and permanent set in fatigue.

    2. Inspect the U-bolt seat.


      1. Check the U-bolt seat for wear and damage.

    3. Inspect the spring shackle.


      1. Check the spring shackle for wear and damage.
