TORSION BAR SPRING INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION TORQUE ARM


    1. A01BFTEE01

      Install the front suspension torque arm to the suspension upper arm with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      81 N*m  { 826 kgf*cm, 60 ft.*lbf }

  2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN TORSION BAR SPRING


    1. A01BEHC

      Check the right/left identification marks on the rear ends of the torsion bar springs.

      Note

      The end with an identification mark must be installed to the rear of the vehicle.

    2. Wrap the splines on both ends of the torsion bar spring with protective tape.

    3. Install the torsion dust cover to the torsion bar spring.

      Note

      Do not damage the lip of the dust cover when installing.

    4. A01BBV4E02

      Remove the protective tape from the spline on both ends of the torsion bar spring and apply MP grease to them.

    5. A01BD3DE02

      Align the matchmarks on the torsion bar spring and torque arm and engage the splines (for anchor arm side).

    6. Align the matchmarks on the torsion bar spring and anchor arm and engage the splines (for torque arm side).

    7. A01BH0TE03

      Install the following parts to the anchor arm in the following orders.

      (A) Anchor arm swivel.

      (B) Anchor arm adjusting hexagon bolt.

      (C) Anchor arm adjusting seat.

      (D) Anchor arm adjust nut.

    8. A01BHZ6E01

      Tighten the anchor arm adjust nut so that the protrusion length of the thread of the anchor arm adjusting hexagon bolt equals the length of dimension A in the table below.

  3. INSTALL FENDER APRON MUDGUARD SEAL


    1. A01BA58E02

      Install the fender apron mudguard seal with the 4 clips.

  4. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    100 N*m  { 1020 kgf*cm, 74 ft.*lbf }

  5. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  6. FULLY TIGHTEN TORSION BAR SPRING


    1. A01BC1VE02

      Hold the anchor arm adjust nut and fully tighten the anchor lock nut.

      Torque:
      78 N*m  { 795 kgf*cm, 58 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
