      With the piston rod extended, hold the front shock absorber obliquely in a vise.

    2. Using a saw or cutting tools, slowly make a hole at approximately 20 mm (0.79 in.) from the weld in the lower end of the front shock absorber to discharge the gas inside.

      Note


      • The gas is colorless, odorless and harmless.

      • Cover the saw or cutting tools with a shop rug or a piece of cloth to prevent shards of metal from flying about when discharging the gas.
