SHIFT AND SELECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE INSULATOR (for RHD) (w/ DPF)

      Remove the nut and No. 1 transmission control cable insulator from the select outer lever.

    2. Remove the 2 nut and No. 2 transmission control cable insulator from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

  3. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Put matchmarks on the transmission control cable assembly and the select outer lever.

    2. Put matchmarks on the transmission control cable assembly and the shift outer lever.

    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the select outer lever.

    4. Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift outer lever.

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the claws of the 2 clips.

    6. Remove the 2 transmission control cable assemblies and 2 clips from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

      Remove the bolt and control cable support.

    8. A01BAIN

      Remove the bolt and separate the clamp.

    9. A01BC42

      Remove the 2 nuts and No. 2 control cable bracket.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips (A).

    2. Disengage the 4 clips (B).

    3. Disconnect the connector.

      Push the positions indicated by the arrows in the illustration to separate the fuel lid lock control cable and bonnet (hood) control cable assembly from the panel.

      Remove the instrument panel finish lower.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips

    2. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the instrument panel No.1 under cover sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the parking brake hole cover.

  7. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB


    1. A01BAU7E01

      Turn the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  8. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY

      Manual Transmission:

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the shifting hole cover assembly.

    2. Automatic Transmission:

      Disengage the 8 claws and remove the shifting hole cover assembly.

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER

      Disengage the 8 claws and remove the instrument panel finish panel lower center.

  10. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BDCI

      Separate the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever.

    2. A01BBNQE01

      Pull out the control cable assembly locks.

    3. Turn the adjust nut clockwise 180°. While holding the adjust nut, separate the control cable assembly.

      Wide body LHD steering position type:


      1. Remove the 2 nuts and No. 3 control cable bracket.

      2. Remove the No. 3 control cable bracket from the transmission control cable assembly.

    5. A01BDF2

      Remove the 2 nuts and front floor footrest.

    6. A01BA7Z

      Remove the 2 bolts and transmission control cable assembly.
