OIL PUMP REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL


    1. A01BA6HE01

      Remove the oil pump driven gear.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, install a new oil seal.

      SST
      09350-30020   ( 09351-32140 )

      Tech Tips

      The oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the pump body.

    3. Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease.

  2. FIX FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR


    1. A01BDIL

      Coat the driven gear with ATF.

    2. Install the driven gear to the oil pump body.

  4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR


    1. A01BBXD

      Coat the drive gear with ATF.

    2. Install the drive gear to the oil pump body.

  5. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BHGJ

      Align the stator shaft with each bolt hole.

    2. Install the 13 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT THRUST BEARING RACE


    1. A01BD3R

      Coat the thrust bearing race with petroleum jelly.

    2. Align the tap of the bearing race with the hollow of the pump body.

  7. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING


    1. A01BEAD

      Coat the 2 oil seal rings with ATF.

    2. Squeeze the ends of the 2 oil seal rings together with the wrap distance 8 mm (0.31 in.) or less, and then install them to the starter shaft groove.

      Note

      Do not over-spread the ring ends.

      Tech Tips

      After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  8. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION


    1. A01BHQT

      Make sure the drive gear rotates smoothly.

    2. Remove the oil pump assembly from the torque converter clutch.

  9. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING


    1. A01BFLT

      Install the O-ring to the oil pump assembly.
