TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.1

  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER NO.2 (dummy dummy)

  3. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE UNDER COVER LH

  4. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE UNDER COVER RH

  5. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the clip and nut, and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever and transmission control cable bracket No.1.

    2. A01BBI2E01

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect thetransmission control cable assembly.

    3. A01BCGLE01

      Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control cable bracket No.2.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts and transmission control cable bracket No.2 from the under body.

  6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB

      Turn the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  7. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Manual Transmission:

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the shifting hole cover assembly.

    2. Automatic Transmission:

      Disengage the 8 claws and remove the shifting hole cover assembly.

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips

    2. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the instrument panel No.1 under cover sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER


    1. A01BHMVE01

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips (A).

    2. Disengage the 4 clips (B).

    3. Disconnect the connector.

      Push the positions indicated by the arrows in the illustration to separate the fuel lid lock control cable and bonnet (hood) control cable assembly from the panel.

      Remove the instrument panel finish lower.

  10. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER


    1. A01BF1ME01

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the parking brake hole cover.

  11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER


    1. A01BB5ME01

      Disengage the 8 claws and remove the instrument panel finish panel lower center.

  12. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BD91E01

      Turn the nut on the transmission control cable counterclockwise.

    2. Disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lock control unit housing.

    3. Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable from the shift lock control unit.

    4. A01BA67E01

      Rolled up the floor carpet of the front seat LH and remove 2 bolts and transmission control cable assembly.
