STARTER (for 2.2 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the screw and terminal 50 wire.

    2. A01BCRAE01

      Remove the nut and disconnect the terminal C wire.

    3. Remove the 2 crews and O-rings, and pull out the starter yoke assembly with the armature assembly.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and magnet starter switch assembly.

    2. Remove the return spring.

    3. A01BE3KE01

      Remove the following parts from the starter housing.

      (1) Starter clutch sub-assembly
      (2) Starter armature pinion
      (3) Starter idler pinion
      (4) Retainer
      (5) Clutch roller
    4. A01BG8EE01

      Using a magnetic finger, remove the steel ball.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BBOEE01

      Using a screwdriver, hold the spring back and disconnect the brush.

    2. Disconnect the 4 brushes and remove the brush holder assembly.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BFRAE01

      Using a plastic hammer, tap the end of the starter yoke assembly and remove the armature assembly.
