STARTER (for 2.7 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BFHDE01

      Remove the 2 bolts and nut, and disconnect the terminal C wire.

    2. Pull out the starter yoke assembly with the armature assembly.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 screws and magnet starter switch assembly.

    2. Remove the return spring.

      Remove the following parts from the starter housing.

      (1) Starter clutch sub-assembly
      (2) Starter idler pinion
      (3) Retainer
      (4) Clutch roller
      (5) Plate washer
    4. A01BFNIE01

      Using a magnetic finger, remove the steel ball.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BCFC

      Remove the 2 screws and commutator end frame assembly.

    2. A01BD3X

      Using a screwdriver, hold the spring back and disconnect the brush.

    3. Disconnect the 4 brushes and remove the brush holder assembly.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the starter armature from the starter yoke.
