STARTER (for 2.2 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

    2. A01BGK7E01

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Pull out the starter yoke with the armature.

    4. Remove the O-ring from the starter yoke assembly.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and magnet starter switch.

    2. Remove the return spring, pinion gear, idler gear, clutch roller, retainer and starter clutch from the starter housing.

      Using a magnetic finger, remove the steel ball from the clutch shaft hole.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the 4 starter yoke brushes from the brush holder.


      1. Using a screwdriver, pull back the spring.

      2. Disconnect the brush from the brush holder.

    2. Remove the brush holder assembly from the starter yoke assembly.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY

    1. Using a plastic-faced hammer, tap the frame end to remove the starter armature assembly from the starter yoke assembly.
