RADIATOR INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BC8Q

      Install the radiator assembly to the vehicle

      Note

      Do not drop the radiator assembly.

  2. INSTALL FAN SHROUD NO.2


    1. A01BHKEE04

      Install the fan shroud No.2 with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not drop the radiator assembly

  3. INSTALL FAN SHROUD


    1. A01BAEU

      Install the fan shroud with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 53 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not drop the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL COOLING FAN ECU


    1. A01BGBM

      Install the cooling fan ECU with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER


    1. A01BGH0E07

      Install the radiator support upper with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the windshield washer motor and pump assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator reserve tank assembly with the bolt

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

  8. AIRTIGHT CHECK


    1. Apply some soapy water to the junction of the radiator tank lower, radiator tank upper and radiator core.

    2. Remove the radiator reservoir cap.

    3. Attach the radiator cap tester.

    4. Check if the radiator assembly is airtight by pumping the radiator cap tester.

  9. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the hood lock cable assembly to the hood lock assembly.

    2. A01BFC1E04

      Install the hood lock assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL W/RECEIVER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

  11. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A

  12. INSTALL COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE PIPE A

  13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

  14. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CROSS MEMBER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  15. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. INSTALL AIR INLET DUCT NO.1


    1. A01BBFP

      Install the air inlet duct No.1 with the 6 clamps.

  17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER

  18. INSTALL STEP PLATE COVER RH

  19. INSTALL STEP PLATE COVER LH

  20. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

  21. ADD ENGINE COOLANT


    1. Close the engine drain plug.

      Torque:
      57 N*m  { 581 kgf*cm, 42 ft.*lbf }

    2. Close the radiator drain cock plug.

    3. Slowly fill the cooling system with coolant.

      Tech Tips

      The coolant level inside the radiator should be abserved after pressing the radiator hose inlet and radiator hose outlet by hand..

    4. Slowly pour coolant into the radiator reserve tank until it reaches the FULL line.

    5. Install the radiator cap to the radiator reserve tank.

    6. Press the inlet and outlet radiator hoses several times by hand while warming up the engine.

    7. Stop the engine, and wait until the engine coolant cools down.

    8. Add coolant to the FULL line of the radiator reservoir.

  24. INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL

  25. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
