AIR SWITCHING VALVE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Check for an open in the air switching valve assembly circuit.


      1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard resistance
        4.5 to 5.5 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the air switching valve assembly.

    2. A01BCUPE02

      w/ Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor:

      Inspect the air switching valve assembly operation.


      1. Check that air does not flow from the port.

      2. A01BG2KE02

        Apply battery positive voltage across the terminals.

      3. Check that air flows from the port.

        If the operation is not as specified, replace the air switching valve.

    3. A01BEAGE02

      w/o Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor:

      Inspect the air switching valve assembly operation.


      1. Check that air does not flow from the ports.

      2. A01BAVDE01

        Apply battery positive voltage across the terminals.

      3. Check that air flows from the ports.

        If operation is not as specified, replace the air switching valve assembly.
