CANISTER REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.


    1. Loosen the nut.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Loosen the nut.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (+) battery terminal.

  4. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Loosen the nut.

    2. Detach the hook of the battery clamp sub-assembly from the battery carrier, and then remove the battery clamp sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY

  6. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER


    1. Disconnect the battery thermometer sensor connector.

    2. Detach the wire harness clamp from the battery carrier.

      Remove the 3 bolts and battery carrier.

  7. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BDU8

      Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 purge line hoses.

    2. Remove the charcoal canister assembly from bracket.
