FUEL TANK INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the fuel hose grommet to the fuel tank assembly.

    2. Install a new fuel suction tube set gasket, fuel pump gauge retainer and fuel sender gauge assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 32 in.*lbf }

    3. Install the fuel tank wire, fuel evaporation No.1 tube sub-assembly, fuel tank main tube sub-assembly and fuel tank return tube sub-assembly to the fuel sender gauge assembly.

  2. INSTALL FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BAPVJ06

      Using the transmission jack, install the 2 fuel tank band sub-assemblies and fuel tank assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      38 N*m  { 398 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the parking break cable No.3 with the blot.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 148 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

  3. CONNECT FUEL HOSE NO.3


    1. A01BASMJ09

      Connect the fuel hose No.3, and tighten the clamp bolt.

  4. CONNECT FUEL TANK BREATHER TUBE


    1. A01BAK9J06

      Connect the fuel tank breather tube and clip.

  5. CONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BAOKJ04

      Connect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly with the clip.

  6. CONNECT FUEL TANK RETURN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Connect the fuel return tube sub-assembly. Click here

  7. CONNECT FUEL TANK WIRE

      Connect the fuel tank wire.

  8. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  9. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS


    1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the ignition switch on.

      3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECD / Active Test.

      5. Perform the Active Test.

        Intelligent Tester Display Test Details Control Range Diagnostic Notes
        Test the Fuel Leak Pressurizes common rail internal fuel pressure, and checks for fuel leaks Stop/Start

        • Fuel pressure inside common rail pressurized to specified value and engine speed increased to 2,000 rpm when ON is selected

        • Above conditions preserved while test is ON
