REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 3 claws and separate the head cap as shown in the illustration.
Remove the rear wiper arm nut and rear wiper arm and blade assembly.
REMOVE REAR WIPER SHAFT COVER
Remove the rear wiper shaft cover.
REMOVE REAR NO. 1 WIPER LINK PIVOT WASHER
Using the socket wrench (27 mm), remove the lock nut and rear No.1 wiper link pivot washer.
Note
Do not damage the glass.
REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY UPPER
Disengage the 6 clips and remove the back door trim board assembly upper.
Remove the remaining clips on the body, and reinstall them to the back door trim board assembly upper.
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector and remove the clamp.
Remove the 3 bolts and rear wiper motor and grommet as a unit.
Remove the grommet from the rear wiper motor.
REMOVE EMERGENCY HAMMER CAUTION PLATE (w/ Emergency Hammer Caution Plate)
Tech Tips
If a emergency hammer caution plate is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Remove the emergency hammer caution plate.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS

Apply protective tape to the outer surface of the vehicle body to prevent scratches.
From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and back door glass as shown in the illustration.
Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends.
Note
When separating the back door glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the vehicles paint or interior/exterior ornaments.
Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the back door glass.
Using a suction cup, remove the back door glass.
Note
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the back door glass.
