DESCRIPTION

The warning indicator lights are installed in the front passenger seat belt warning light assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - TELLTALE LIGHT)


    1. A01BBYJE02

      Disconnect the H54 clearance warning ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the H15 front passenger seat belt warning light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H54-28 (L1) - H15-2 (RR) Always Below 1 Ω
      H54-29 (L2) - H15-4 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H54-30 (L3) - H15-9 (BK) Always Below 1 Ω
      H54-9 (L4) - H15-3 (FR) Always Below 1 Ω
      H54-26 (L5) - H15-5 (FL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H54-31 (L10) - H15-10 (OP) Always Below 1 Ω
      H54-28 (L1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H54-29 (L2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H54-30 (L3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H54-9 (L4) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H54-26 (L5) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H54-31 (L10) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Remove the front passenger seat belt warning light assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the indicator operation.


      1. for A:

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (BD)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (FL)

        LED illuminates
      2. for B:

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (BD)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (FR)

        LED illuminates
      3. for C:

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (BD)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (RL)

        LED illuminates
      4. for D:

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7 (BD)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 9 (BK)
