DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer sounds to alert the driver. The sounding pattern changes depending on the distance to an obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU)


    1. A01BBYJE01

      Disconnect the H54 clearance warning ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the H15 front passenger seat belt warning light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H54-20 (EF) - H15-11 (BZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      H54-20 (EF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
  2. INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT ASSEMBLY (CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)


    1. Temporarily replace the front passenger seat belt warning light assembly with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Check that the clearance warning buzzer sounds properly when the TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system detects an obstacle.
