TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Back Sonar Sensor LH Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The ultrasonic sensor sends and receives ultrasonic waves. Based on the received wave, the sensor calculates the approximate distance between the vehicle and the obstacle, and sends the distance value as a signal to the clearance warning ECU.

  1. INSPECT NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR CENTER SENSOR LH)


    1. A01BD3VE01

      Remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor LH) Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (E) - 2 (S) Always 20 to 40 kΩ

    REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR CENTER SENSOR LH) Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CENTER SENSOR LH - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU)


    1. A01BBY9E01

      Disconnect the W2 No. 2 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor LH) connector.

    2. Disconnect the H54 clearance warning ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W2-2 (S) - H54-16 (S4) Always Below 1 Ω
      W2-1 (E) - H54-15 (E4) Always Below 1 Ω
      W2-2 (S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W2-1 (E) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
