PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK IF A PROPER CD IS INSERTED


    1. Make sure that the CD is a normal audio CD, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, burred or otherwise defective.

      OK

      Tech Tips


      • Translucent or uniquely-shaped CDs cannot be played.

      • CDs for personal computers (with music recorded in) and CD-Rs cannot be played.

      • For vehicles made for Europe, an adapter is not required to play 8 cm (3.2 in.) CDs. For vehicles made for countries except Europe, use an adapter to play 8 cm (3.2 in.) CDs.

  2. CHECK THAT CD IS INSERTED PROPERLY


    1. Check whether or not the CD is inserted upside down.

    1. Clean the disc by wiping it radially with a soft cloth.

      Malfunction disappears.

      Note

      Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.

  4. REPLACE THE CD WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK


    1. Replace the CD with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
