METER / GAUGE SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSTALL INDICATOR/WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the following indicators and warning lights.

      AIRBAG warning light*6 Ignition switch off → ON Comes on for 6 seconds
      CHECK E/G warning light Ignition switch off → ON

      • Illuminates when ignition switch turned ON

      • Turns off when engine started
      CHARGE warning light
      OIL warning light

      • *1: Engine Type Diesel

      • *2: for Automatic Transmission

      • *3: for LED Headlight

      • *4: for Segment Display Type

      • *5: for 1KD-FTV (w/ DPF)

      • *6: w/ Airbag System

  2. INSPECT SPEEDOMETER


    1. Using a speedometer tester, check the speedometer indication according to the table below.

      Note

      Do not use worn, underinflated or overinflated tires as the speedometer reading will be inaccurate.

    2. Check the deflection width of the speedometer indicator.

  3. INSPECT TACHOMETER


    1. Connect a tune-up test tachometer, and start the engine.

    2. Compare the test results and the tachometer indications.

  4. INSPECT METER/GAUGE


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

      OK
      Each meter/gauge needle indication is normal.

  5. INSPECT WARNING/INDICATOR LIGHT


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

      OK
      Each warning/indicator light can be turned on and off using the GTS.

  6. INSPECT MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY (Dot Display Type)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

      OK
      All dots in the multi-information display can be turned on and off using the GTS.
