WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (w/o Smart Entry and Start System) SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

    1. The wireless door lock control system locks/unlocks the doors remotely. This system has the following features:

      • The door control receiver performs the code identification process and operates the door lock control.

      • A key-integrated type transmitter is used and contains the following switches: the lock switch, unlock switch and slide door open switch*.

        • *: w/ Power Slide Door System

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Components Functions
Door control receiver Receives weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) from the door control transmitter assembly and changes the waves to code data.
    Door control transmitter assembly
    • Contains the door lock, unlock and slide door open*1 switches.

    • Transmits the weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) to the door control receiver.

Rear door courtesy light switch LH

Back door courtesy light switch assembly

    • Placed on each door.

    • Detects the door status (open or closed) and outputs data to the instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU).

    • Turns on when a door is opened and turns off when it is closed.

    Front door lock assembly RH*3

    • The built-in motor locks or unlocks the door.

    • Transmits the door lock position of driver door to the instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU).

    • Operates the motor in response to signals from the door control receiver and locks and unlocks the doors.

Rear door lock actuator assembly RH

    • The built-in motor locks or unlocks the door.

    • Operates the motor in response to signals from the door control receiver and locks and unlocks the doors.

    Back door remote control assembly
    • The built-in motor unlatches the door latch.

    • Performs back door open operation according to locked/unlocked state determination of the instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU).

    • The built-in courtesy switch detects the back door status (open or closed) and outputs a signal to the instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU). This switch turns on when the back door is opened and turns off when the back door is closed.

  3. SYSTEM FUNCTION

    1. The wireless door lock control system has the following functions:

      Function Outline
All door lock Pressing the lock switch locks all the doors.
All door unlock Pressing the unlock switch unlocks all the doors.
Automatic lock If none of the doors are opened within 30 seconds after they are unlocked by the wireless door lock control, all doors will lock again automatically.
Slide door open* Pressing the slide door open switch of the door control transmitter assembly for longer than about 0.8 seconds opens the slide door.
      Answer-back (hazard warning light)
      • When the doors are locked by a wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash once.

      • When the doors are unlocked by a wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash twice.

Door ajar warning The wireless door lock buzzer sounds when the lock switch is pressed when any of the doors are ajar, and it sounds for 5 seconds continuously. The wireless door lock buzzer stops sounding when all doors are closed or the unlock switch is pressed.
Illuminated entry When all doors are locked, pressing the unlock switch causes the interior lights to come on simultaneously with the unlock operation.
Self-diagnostic mode If the instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU) receives normal radio waves from the door control transmitter assembly when the system is in diagnostic mode, it outputs the door lock operation in a normal pattern that corresponds to the function of each switch.
