POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Driver Side Door Lock Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The door lock motor is built in the door lock assembly.

The body ECU receives the driver door lock switch signal from the master switch and operates the door lock motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)

   
   

   1. 

      LHD Models:

      Inspect the front door lock assembly.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.

         Standard
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Lock Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Unlock

   2. 

      RHD Models:

      Inspect the front door lock assembly.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.

         Standard
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Lock Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Unlock

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

   OK

2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)

   
   

   1. 

      Disconnect the L1 (K1) connector.

   2. Disconnect the instrument panel J/B connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      LHD Models
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5B-33 - L1-4 (ACT+) Always Below 1 Ω 5B-34 - L1-1 (ACT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      RHD Models
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5B-33 - K1-4 (ACT+) Always Below 1 Ω 5B-34 - K1-1 (ACT-) Always Below 1 Ω

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

   PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
