OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Electric Mirror)

    Tech Tips

    Only the electric mirror can be disassembled.


    1. A01BH0GE01

      Push in the upper part of the mirror to tilt the mirror surface.

    2. Attach protective tape to the outer rear view mirror.

    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 lower claws.

    4. Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow, disengage the 2 upper claws and remove the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR LH


    1. Remove the clamp.

        Remove the tape and clamp from the wire harness sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the base sub-assembly.

        Remove the tape.

        Cut the wire harness sub-assembly at the location shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        A new wire harness sub-assembly is used for reassembly.

        Detach the 5 claws and remove the gasket.

        Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and base sub-assembly.

      Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw and base plate.

      Remove the 4 screws and body sub-assembly.

    5. A01BASTE01

      Remove the actuator sub-assembly.


      1. Detach the clamp.

      2. Slide the cover in the direction indicated by arrow 1 in the illustration and disconnect the connector.

      3. Pull out the wire harness sub-assembly in the direction indicated by arrow 2 in the illustration.

        Remove the 3 screws and actuator sub-assembly.

        Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the two claws and disconnect the 2 connectors.
