FRONT DOOR ADJUSTMENT

Tech Tips


  • Installation is in the reverse order of the removal. But, the installation is indicated only when it has a point.

  • In the RH side, work in the same procedure as in the LH side.


  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Check that the value is within the standard value.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A01KGMX

      Remove the screws.

    2. Disengage the meshing of clips to remove the radiator grille.

  3. REMOVE FRONT VALANCE PANEL LH

      Using a screwdriver, remove the front valance panel LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE CLEARANCE LAMP LENS AND BODY LH

      Remove the 2 nuts, disconnect the bulb connector.

    2. Remove the license plate light assembly.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SIDE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the 2 bolts, screws and front side panel sub-assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR GROMMET

  7. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR BEZEL

  8. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER LH

  9. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

  10. ADJUST FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01KH51

      Adjust the door by loosening the body side hinge bolts.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01KICV

      Adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
    3. A01KIDI

      Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws, and hitting the striker with a plastic hammer.

    4. Tighten the striker mounting screws again.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
